My whole life I had coaches, parents, and teammates who made attend soccer practice and stay active.
When I finished high school and all that ended, I realized that to keep it up, I’d have to start motivating myself.

Despite being active, I had never really had a positive body image, so heading into my freshman year of college, I thought, “This is my chance. I lost weight really fast. In just four months, I had dropped down to 116 lbs. and I started lifting heavier weights.  Over time, lifting started to help me feel physically stronger. Right away, I loved that lifting weights was easier than running for an hour—and way more fun!

All of these Jillian Michaels workouts require the use of dumbbells. If you don’t have a set of dumbbells you can buy this set, which consists of 2,3, and 5 lbs. The coloured, girly dumbbells may look pretty. I have my own home hym now and I have sexy things like a squat
rack. Don’t be scared of the weights ladies. You won’t get bulky with these workouts, trust me!

I was a little confused at first when I hopped into the app and it told me I needed to eat eggs and bacon for breakfast and a pumpkin salad for lunch!

Was I supposed to have all of these ingredients already?!

I realized, eventually, that these are just suggestions for people who want a little structure and guidance for their eating to go along with the workouts.
